This page contains the recordings of meditations practised on Friday mornings during the Covid-19 epidemic. These sessions were arranged to substitute for the study days and the weekend retreat that could not take place during the crisis. The theme for all of these sessions was “feeling”, that is practising to feel our way in life rather than thinking and rationalising what happens to us.
SESSION 1 – The basics of settling, grounding and resting, recognising the energy of our bodies and letting go. Recorded on Friday the 20th March 2020.
Practice 1 – Settling, grounding and resting – a 30minute practice beginning with standing and breathing, progressing into a sitting or lying posture and coming to rest.
Practice 2 – The energy body scan and the boundaries of the body – a 30minute practice in which participants are invited to feel into their bodies, scan through the body and finish by meditating on the nature of the boundaries of the body and the mind.
Practice 3 – Letting go – a 30minute practice in which participants are invited to let go progressively of all attachments and any sense of separation.
