The Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course is a weekly mindfulness course. At the centre of the MBSR there is an emphasis on coping mindfully with life’s challenges. MBSR is an 8-week course, each session is two hours long, with each week focusing on a specific theme and attitude.

Quality: Non-striving/letting be
Week 3:
Theme: Staying with the Breath / Staying present
Quality: Trust
Week 4:
Theme: Responding rather than reacting
Quality: Opening/curiosity
Week 5:
Theme: Opening to the unwanted
Quality: Allowing/Non-judging
Week 6:
Theme: Mindful communication
Quality: Patience/presence
Week 7:
Theme: Taking care of ourselves/our inner kingdom

The MBSR is recognised as an eight-week course in the UK Good Practice Guidelines and those trained to teach it are eligible to join the UK Listing of Mindfulness Teachers.
