INTRODUCTION TO INSIGHT MEDITATION PRACTICE
Insight meditation training provides a way to enhance and deepen your mindfulness practice. In helping you to observe the experience of thoughts, feelings and emotions clearly and directly without reacting to them or getting pulled into them, it reduces emotional reactivity and helps with anxiety and rumination. It increases self-awareness so that you can begin to see your habitual patterns of behaviour, your beliefs that operate “in the background” and the subtle emotional cues you normally ignore. As a result it helps you to build resilience and equanimity – the ability to remain steady during life’s challenges – and lessens suffering.
Catherine, Diana, Jan, Peter and Rhona will be facilitating small group training in insight practice in the New Year. If you are interested in participating please contact Peter on peterwilkes239@gmail.com to express your interest. Peter will then contact you and arrange to discuss how this could work for you.
Our regular drop in sessions on Zoom are free but we welcome donations. Please contact us on highlandmindfulness@gmail.com to request the Zoom link. Please read the Safety Information for our drop-in sessions.
